Restoration

Restoration was one of those true second wave goth bands, those that emerged right at the end of the eighties to.. carry the torch (Heheh, see what I did there? I are comedic genius.) from the Sisters, the Mish and the Neph. This one seems to be especially influenced by the latter two, and what's more, it's very well-written, enjoyable stuff accented with beautiful twelve-string guitars. If you want good, melodic second wave, look no further. There tends to be a lot of monotonous, gloomy droning-on in goth rock, so sometimes it's good to hear something with a bit more, I don't know... life in it. : )

Unfortunately, Restoration is also one of those quality groups that no one's ever heard of, tucked away in obscurity somewhere. Oh well, that's what this blog is for, right? The Eternity demo sounds dead-on like early Rosetta Stone.
